Carmarthen Quins open their 2026-27 Super Rygbi Cymru campaign at home to Cardiff RFC on Saturday 12th September.
The Quins have named a strong side for the opening round of the competitive season with flanker Shaun Evans to lead the side at Carmarthen Park.
The Carmarthen side has a mix of experience, particularly among the forwards, and a youthful blend in the backs.
Four young Scarlets have been named in the backline including exciting halfback pairing Alfie Luger and Madoc Evans.
Carmarthen Quins Director of Rugby Steff Thomas said; “Having players like Shaun and Steff Evans within the group has been hugely influential in our group. The experience, the leadership that they have brought has made a massive difference creating the right environment for the young players to develop.
“Having that blend of good seasoned pros coming in to add to the young talent is the golden recipe for this league, and those boys are no different in terms of what they’ve brought to us. It’s been a really big thing for us.”
