With the 2025-26 season drawing to a close, we’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you, and a fond farewell, to two members of the coaching team who have made a huge contribution to the club over the last couple of years.
Lyndon Lewis
At the end of the season, Carmarthen Quins RFC will also say farewell to Head Coach Lyndon Lewis as he retires from his role after two years with the club.
Lyndon arrived at a crucial time for the Quins and played a massive part in steadying the ship, bringing leadership, calmness and a wealth of experience to the coaching team. His guidance and commitment helped lay strong foundations both on and off the field, and his influence around the squad has been hugely valued by everyone involved with the club.
Lyndon’s retirement from the Quins also coincides with his professional retirement as a Headmaster. A respected figure throughout the Welsh Premiership and, more recently, the SRC, Lyndon has made an outstanding contribution to the game over many years.
Everyone at Carmarthen Quins RFC would like to thank Lyndon sincerely for everything he has given to the club and to Welsh rugby, and we wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement — with plenty of time now for family, golf and horse racing.
Once a Quin, always a Quin.
Peter Edwards
After two fantastic seasons with Carmarthen Quins RFC, we’d like to say a huge thank you to Pete Edwards for his outstanding contribution as Scrum Coach.
Pete has been incredibly popular around the club, bringing passion, knowledge, commitment and plenty of energy to the squad. His work and dedication have played a massive part in the development of the players and the progress made over the last two seasons.
Everyone at the Quins wishes Pete and his family all the very best for the next chapter. While he may be moving on, he’ll always be a Quin and will always be welcome back at Carmarthen Park.
Thank you, Pete — and best of luck with everything ahead.
